MARVEL ZOMBIES 4 – Issues #2 and 3

mz42MARVEL ZOMBIES 4 – Issues #2 and 3

Marvel Comics | Written by Fred Van Lente | Art by Kev Walker

Vampires. Werewolves. Witches. Zombies. Demons. Weird... sounds exactly like Fangoria Graphix very own killer comic book, DEATH WALKS THE STREETS. That’s where the title of MARVEL ZOMBIES kind of throws off readers in the fourth installment of the popular series featuring most of the Marvel Universe in flesh-eating, zombie form. This book features the dark side of Marvel, where the midnight monsters like Morbius the Living Vampire and Werewolf By Night Jack Russell come out to play. Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the ultimate battle royale between the things that go bump in the night.

WEREWOLVES ON THE MOON: VERSUS VAMPIRES – Issue #1 of 3

Dark Horse Comics | Written by Dave Land and the Fillbach Brothers | Art by The Fillbach Brothers

What would a werewolf on the moon do? Would he constantly be a werewolf, or do the lunar cycles still take control of the human skin? Would he howl at the lunar surface or back at planet Earth? Would he be more in control of his actions with the moon inches from his feet or totally out of control like this here comic book? So many questions and so little time to be serious about it all. And then the vampires come along and ruin everything. Don’t they always?

THE WALKING DEAD – Issues #61-62 (Comic Reviews)

walkdead100THE WALKING DEAD – Issues # 61-62 | Image Comics | Written by Robert Kirkman | Art by Charlie Adlard and Cliff Rathburn

When I was about 8 years old, I used to go out hunting with my stepfather a lot. We killed a lot of animals when I was a kid. Ducks, raccoons, deer, and possums. We killed them mainly for food, other times for fur, but most of the time, for my stepfather’s enjoyment. I didn’t really enjoy it too much. Hunting them down, the anticipation of the shot, and nailing it in the head was an adrenaline rush, sure, but the part I hated the most besides the long hours of waiting was following my black and tan dog, Blue, to the kill scene. This is where I would come face to face with death.

HACK/SLASH #23 (Comic Review)

hackslash100HACK/SLASH – Issues # 23 | Devil’s Due Publishing | Written by Tim Seeley | Art by Ross Campbell (THE MAD, MAD MAILMAN) and Mike Dimayuga (BLOOD BLOWER)

Welcome to the Grindhouse with HACK/SLASH! What’s the Grindhouse again? Well, it’s a double feature of two generally bad films that have heart and charisma, but most of all, entertainment value even though the idea is somewhat immature and cheesy. It’s turn your brain off time and just watch the blood fly across the screen like a symphony of art, and if you’re in a cool movie theater, well, they’ll let ya throw popcorn at the screen too.
