Movie trailers are, of course, a dime a dozen these days (actually, almost all of ’em can now be seen for free on-line…), but book trailers are an up-and-coming trend. Fango got word about a collection of video previews tying in to Leopold Gout’s novel GHOST RADIO, one of which you can see below.
Published last month by William Morrow, GHOST RADIO centers on the titular Mexican show, hosted by former punk rocker Joaquin, who lost his parents and best friend/band partner in separate, devastating accidents of which he was the sole survivor. As he fields calls from those anxious to share their scary stories, he begins to find himself unable to separate this dark subject matter from his own life, and to hear the voices of the dead. The project began as a graphic novel, and the final book is illustrated with Gout’s art. The author has also collaborated with author James (KISS THE GIRLS) Patterson on an upcoming graphic novel, and is working on film projects with SPIDER-MAN producer Avi Arad, director Michel (ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND) Gondry and writer Daniel (GHOST WORLD) Clowes on feature projects as well. You can see the rest of the videos and find out more about GHOST RADIO at its website here. See our review of the book in Fango #279, on sale next month.
