The Benicio Del Toro-starring, Joe Johnston-directed remake of the studio’s classic monster movie will now open November 6. No details about the reasons for the switch are forthcoming; a couple of weeks ago, Warner Bros. shifted Richard Kelly’s THE BOX from March to the same date, so it’s likely that one will move again. Look for the beginning of our magazine coverage of THE WOLFMAN in Fango #279, on sale this month, and see the movie’s official website here.
In addition, Fango just got the news that CASE 39, which has been bouncing around Paramount’s schedule for a couple of years now, is now out of its most recent slot—April 10, 2009—and is currently undated. At this point, it’s looking like director Christian Alvart’s fourth feature PANDORUM, slated to debut September 4, will be out before CASE, his third, which stars Renee Zellweger as a social worker investigating a child abuse case that turns out to be something far scarier.
